Dear Dr. My husband is 53 years old, I am 46. For the past 8 years, sex has been a thing of the past. When it got to the point where he couldn't get an erection, he stopped everything. When I tried to talk to him about it, he acts like I'm out of line with the questions. First step is to ask his doctor to switch to an anti-hypertensive drug that does not cause decreased libido. Even if he can't switch, Viagra will still work on most men with drug induced decreased libido. With regard to his cardiac state and blood pressure, the only contraindication for use of Viagra is if he is on any nitrate medicine. Otherwise, there are only warnings: 1) if he suffered a heart attack, stroke or a life-threatening irregular heart beat within the past 6 months; 2) if his blood pressure is greater than 170/100 or less than 90/50; or 3) if he has heart failure or unstable angina. Most irregular heart beats are not life-threatening. Viagra lowers blood pressure, so an existing low blood pressure is more of a concern than a high blood pressure. If he still can't get an erection, he can use the Erection Inducer Device.
Dear Dr. I have 2 different cock rings that I would like to try but I am not sure of the proper way to use them. Some of my friends have told me that they need to be warmed and stretched before use.
